Week 2

So week two, what can I say?  It was horrible!  Trying to juggle 15 credit hours, homework and an exam and working 20+ hours a week is not easy.  This week I hardly had time to eat and sleep, let alone run!  I feel because running is so important to me, I become more stressed because I am not able to run.  I am trying to stay positive about this matter.

Monday:  I studied all morning, went to school and got home around 7 p.m. I ate dinner with my husband and then went back to homework and studying.  No time for running. :(

Tuesday:  Test day.  I woke up early and studied before my exam, went to school and took the test.  After the test I got a call from my husband because the mortgage company, we are trying to refinance through, called him asking for some paper work they needed from us.  So I had to call the company to find out what was needed, get home and try to find the paper work, and then drive to the company to drop it off.  This took away about 3 hours of homework time.  Once I finally got home I started to do my homework but not long after my husband came home wanting to talk about the mortgage company and what was going on with the refinancing.  After we talked for a bit I got back to my homework, ate dinner and went to bed.

Wednesday:  I had to work all day.  I am so swamped with work and only being in office two days a week I have no time for a lunch break and I had to work a couple of hours over making me unable to make it to my track workouts I normally do on Wednesday nights.  When I finally got home around 7:00, I was so tired from getting little sleep; I made some coffee and finally finished my political science homework at 1 a.m. I forgot to eat dinner and just went to bed.

Thursday:  Slept in about an hour because I got so bed to late, so I got up a 7 a.m.  I proofread and printed my MASC research paper, and got ready to head to school.  I was in class all day; I did not get home until 7 p.m.  Because it was Thursday I did not feel the need to do homework, so I spent some time with my husband and relaxed, and went to bed at a decent time.

Friday:  I worked all day.  As usual no lunch and worked late, but it was Friday and all I could think about was finally being able to sleep in on Saturday!  Friday night my husband and I went out to dinner and chilled out on the couch until about 10:00 a.m. when we decided to go to bed.

Saturday:  5 miles, 43:27, 8:41 minute per mile average.

I slept in and it was wonderful!!!  I did not run a tempo run with the group I normally run with because I was not waking up early to do it.  I needed to sleep in!  The weather was wonderful and I ended up running 5 miles.  I felt great, it was so nice being able to run again!

Sunday:  I slept in again! yay!  When I finally got up around 8:30 a.m., I made breakfast with my husband and watch a little TV, cleaned the house then got started on next week’s political science assignment.  I did homework and finally around 4:00 p.m., my husband and I went to get a birthday gift for our sister-in-law and headed to his parents house for her birthday dinner.

Now here I am, writing this blog and hoping next week is different.
